A l’occasion de la parution aux Éditions de Juillet du nouveau livre d’Irène Jonas, Bouquinistes de Paris – Les derniers mohicans, José Nicolas propose à l’Atelier/Galerie Taylor-Paris une exposition consacrée à la photographe, dont il soutient le travail depuis 2021, et une signature de son nouvel ouvrage.
Des tirages de cette série, jamais exposée, seront accompagnés de photographies peintes qui feront voyager collectionneurs et amateurs des rives de la Baltique jusqu’à la Russie, d’Istanbul à Rio, de plages bretonnes aux fêtes foraines.
Irène Jonas est photographe et sociologue. Elle témoigne de nos sociétés dans ses textes et ses études et y adjoint une photographie libre, qui s’éloigne du documentaire, mais toujours encrée dans une réalité, ou
dans l’archéologie d’une réalité, de son souvenir, de ces traces, impressions, couleurs et émotions qui restent en mémoire.
